The reason I was surprised again was she wasn't in the kidding pen since she isn't due yet. The two due NOW are still stuffing themselves with grain and hay in the kidding pen but have no signs of having their babies. Surprise had a single doe kid last year and her name is Cowgirl and her picture is on the Recorded Grade page. This is Pinkie, the Livestock, Guardian Dog's, first year with does kidding and she did well. Proud of her. Nine more due in January. Hoping for doelings. Hope, hope, hope.
Looks like I took the most unflattering picture I could but in real life they are totally cute. Surprise surprised me with twin doelings. She was named Surprise because her Saanen mother had her right on time and I was shocked that the kid had elf ears. Darn fence jumping LaMancha buck. Ttrouble is he was always in his pen when we got home at the end of the day. Smart boy.
